Description

Crispy fried chicken breasts drizzled with a spicy honey glaze, combining heat and sweet for an unforgettable meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • Oil for frying
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the coating: In a bowl, mix together the flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika until fully integrated. In another vessel, pour the buttermilk.
  2. Coat the chicken: Dip each chicken breast into the buttermilk, then transfer it to the flour mixture, pressing to coat.
  3. Heat the oil: In a skillet or Dutch oven, pour enough oil to be about half an inch deep and heat to medium until shimmering.
  4. Fry until golden: Carefully lay the chicken in the oil, frying for 5 to 7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Prepare the hot honey sauce: In a small saucepan over low heat, combine honey and hot sauce, stirring until blended.
  6. Drizzle and serve: Once chicken is golden, drizzle the hot honey sauce over it and serve with rice.

Notes

For a healthier version, consider grilling the chicken instead of frying.
