Ingredients

- 2 cups almond flour
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 4 large egg whites
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Red food coloring
- Buttercream or ganache for filling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a bowl, sift together almond flour and powdered sugar.
- In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until foamy, then add cream of tartar and gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold in the almond flour mixture and vanilla extract, then add red food coloring until desired color is achieved.
- Pipe the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Let the macarons sit for 30 minutes to form a skin.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, then let cool completely.
- Fill with buttercream or ganache and sandwich together.
