Description

A delicious and refreshing dish featuring shrimp tossed in a spicy mango sauce, served in crisp lettuce cups.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 ripe mango, diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 head of butter lettuce, leaves separated
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the shrimp, olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the shrimp.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the shrimp mixture. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the diced mango.
  4. To serve, spoon the shrimp and mango mixture into the lettuce cups.
  5. Garnish with fresh cilantro and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra heat, add diced jalapeños to the shrimp mixture.
  • Can substitute shrimp with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
  • Best served immediately for optimal freshness.
