- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dip chicken pieces in buttermilk, then coat with the flour mixture.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
- Fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix gochujang, honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil to create the sauce.
- Once the chicken is cooked, toss it in the sauce until well coated.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less gochujang.
- For extra crunch, double fry the chicken.
- Serve with pickled radish for a traditional touch.
