Description

Deliciously crispy and spicy, these Korean fried chicken bites are perfect for a flavorful snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Dip chicken pieces in buttermilk, then coat with the flour mixture.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix gochujang, honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil to create the sauce.
  6. Once the chicken is cooked, toss it in the sauce until well coated.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less gochujang.
  • For extra crunch, double fry the chicken.
  • Serve with pickled radish for a traditional touch.
