Description

Mexican Picadillo is a traditional dish made with ground meat, vegetables, and spices, offering a rich and flavorful experience.


Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup green olives, sliced
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  3. Add ground beef, cook until browned.
  4. Stir in bell pepper and tomatoes, cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Add olives, raisins, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  6. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Serve hot with rice or tortillas.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add chopped jalapeños.
