Description

A deliciously sweet and savory Maple Glazed Ham with a crunchy brown sugar crust, perfect for elevating any dinner occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fully cooked ham (about 810 pounds)
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the maple syrup, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
  4. Brush the glaze generously over the ham.
  5. Place the ham in a roasting pan and cover loosely with foil.
  6. Bake for about 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes with the glaze.
  7. Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes to allow the crust to caramelize.
  8. Let the ham rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier glaze, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Leftover ham can be used in sandwiches or salads.
  • Ensure the ham is fully cooked before serving.
