Description

Delicious and fluffy donut holes coated in a rich maple glaze, perfect for a sweet treat any time of the day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut hole pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fill each donut hole cavity about 2/3 full with the batter.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Let the donut holes cool for a few minutes before removing them from the pan.
  8. In a separate bowl, mix the powdered sugar and maple syrup to create the glaze.
  9. Dunk each donut hole into the glaze and place on a wire rack to set.

Notes

  • For a stronger maple flavor, add more maple syrup to the glaze.
  • These donut holes are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a few days.
