Description

Crispy Bacon Mozzarella Poppers with Sweet Glaze are a delicious appetizer that combines the savory flavor of bacon with gooey mozzarella cheese, all drizzled with a sweet glaze for an irresistible treat.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cut the mozzarella sticks in half.
  3. Wrap each mozzarella half with a slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick if necessary.
  4. Dredge the bacon-wrapped mozzarella in flour, then dip in beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Place the poppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.
  7. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Heat until warm.
  8. Drizzle the sweet glaze over the poppers before serving.
