Description

A vibrant and flavorful dish featuring marinated steak, rice, and a creamy cilantro lime sauce, ideal for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb steak (flank or sirloin)
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup corn, fresh or frozen
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1/2 cup creamy cilantro lime sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 onion, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine lime juice, chopped cilantro, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Add your steak, ensuring it’s generously coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Follow package instructions for cooking your rice. For added flavor, mix in some lime zest and additional cilantro just before serving.
  3. Heat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated steak for 4-5 minutes per side or until it reaches your desired doneness. Let it rest for about five minutes before slicing it against the grain.
  4. In a bowl, layer a generous scoop of rice, top it with sliced steak, and add black beans, corn, and diced avocado. Drizzle with creamy cilantro lime sauce.
  5. Enjoy your cilantro lime steak bowls, savoring each flavorful bite!

Notes

For best results, marinate steak overnight and prepare components ahead of time. Customize with grilled vegetables or alternative proteins.
