Description

A delightful twist on traditional cranberry sauce, this Chocolate Covered Cranberry Sauce combines the tartness of cranberries with the richness of chocolate, making it a perfect holiday treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chopped dark chocolate and coconut oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  5. Dip each cranberry into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
  6. Place the chocolate-covered cranberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Refrigerate until the chocolate is set, about 30 minutes.

Notes

  • For a sweeter sauce, adjust the sugar to taste.
  • Use milk chocolate for a creamier flavor.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
