Description

Chicken Pillows With Creamy Parmesan Sauce is a delicious and comforting dish featuring tender chicken wrapped in flaky pastry, topped with a rich and creamy parmesan sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cream cheese, half of the parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the pastry over to form a pillow shape and seal the edges.
  6. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. In a saucepan, combine chicken broth, heavy cream, and the remaining parmesan cheese over medium heat until the sauce thickens.
  9. Serve the chicken pillows drizzled with the creamy parmesan sauce.

Notes

  • For added flavor, you can include herbs like parsley or thyme in the chicken mixture.
  • Make sure to seal the edges of the pastry well to prevent the filling from leaking out during baking.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
