- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Stir until evenly mixed and press into the bottom of a springform pan.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
- In a large mixing bowl, blend the cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar until creamy and free of lumps.
- Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and eggs one at a time, mixing on low.
- Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust and spread it evenly.
- Place the springform pan in a larger baking dish filled halfway with hot water and bake for 50-60 minutes.
- Cool the cheesecake slowly in the oven with the door cracked, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Remove the sides of the springform pan, slice, and serve with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For a unique twist, try adding a fruit compote or chocolate ganache on top before serving.
