Description

A delicious dish featuring caramelised soy chicken served in a flavorful garlic ginger broth, accompanied by rice.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Marinate the chicken thighs in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In a pot, heat the chicken broth and water over medium heat.
  4. Add the marinated chicken thighs to the pot and cook until fully cooked through.
  5. Remove the chicken and set aside, then reduce the broth slightly.
  6. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  7. Serve the chicken over rice, drizzled with the garlic ginger broth and topped with green onions.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate overnight.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
  • Serve with steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
