- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups white sugar, divided
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cream together the softened butter and 1 ½ cups of white sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until the dough comes together.
- In a small bowl, combine the remaining ½ cup of sugar with cinnamon.
- Shape dough into 1¾-inch balls, rolling them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Place the cookies on an ungreased baking sheet, spaced about 3 inches apart.
- Bake for 9-10 minutes; the edges should be set when done.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
You can prepare the dough in advance and freeze the shaped balls for later baking.
