Description

Delicious baked ham and cheese croissants that promise flaky texture and savory flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large croissants
  • 8 slices of ham
  • 8 slices of cheese (Swiss and cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (optional)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice each croissant in half lengthwise, making sure not to separate completely.
  3. Spread Dijon mustard on the inside of each croissant, adding honey if preferred.
  4. Layer the ham and cheese inside each croissant evenly.
  5. Close the croissants and place them on a lined baking sheet, cut side up.
  6. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush over the tops of each croissant.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from the oven, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

For make-ahead options, prepare croissants up to the baking step, cover, and refrigerate. Bake fresh in the morning. Adjust cheese and meats to customize flavors.
