Description

Apple Cranberry Crisp is a delightful fall dessert that combines the tartness of cranberries with the sweetness of apples, topped with a crunchy oat topping.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups of sliced apples
  • 2 cups of fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples and cranberries.
  3. Add 1/2 cup of brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to the fruit mixture and toss to coat.
  4. Transfer the fruit mixture to a greased baking dish.
  5. In another bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, remaining brown sugar, and melted butter until crumbly.
  6. Spread the oat mixture evenly over the fruit.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.
