- 4 cups of sliced apples
- 2 cups of fresh cranberries
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine sliced apples and cranberries.
- Add 1/2 cup of brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to the fruit mixture and toss to coat.
- Transfer the fruit mixture to a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, remaining brown sugar, and melted butter until crumbly.
- Spread the oat mixture evenly over the fruit.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
- Can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
